Dexcom is an international company that develops, manufactures, and distributes continuous glucose monitoring systems, to aid diabetes management.

During the project, Firco worked in close partnership with Quay Office Group to implement the design and complete the construction work. Firco has successfully worked with Quay Office Group in the past on several major construction projects across the UK.


The brief:

Dexcom wanted to expand its existing office in Camberley, Hampshire, to accommodate more staff and to facilitate social distancing measures. Modifications needed to be made to the existing kitchen to cater for a higher volume of staff and the client wanted to create a new ‘wellness’ room to support staff wellbeing.

How the project was delivered:

Firco was involved at all stages of the project and our team of specialists worked closely with other contractors to deliver the brief.

By knocking through an existing concrete wall, Firco was able to expand the office by more than 100m2. This created space for 12 new workstations to enable Dexcom to grow its team and enforce social distancing measures.
Firco completed the project in line with the programme of works adhering strictly to the in-depth health and safety measures in place due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Following the successful delivery of the project, the client expressed an interest in expanding the office space further and look to appoint Firco Group to manage this.
